Belbin Team roles

Raymond Meredith Belbin, Psy PhD graduated from Cambridge, the honorary professor at the universities in Bristol and Exeter, is the UN and the Commission of European Communities counselor. He started researching the team formation systems in 1967. In 1981 the book Management Teams: Why They Succeeded or Fail, was written. It was acknowledged as one of The Financial Times.

What is the difference between the more and less successful teams? Professor Belbin spent over 20 years on solving such problem. The team and project group formation methodology developed by him is considered the most successful and popular one worldwide.

Today almost 70% of the industrial enterprises and public organizations in Great Britain use the methodology proposed by him to create the efficient teams of managers.
